DAY 12: BONUS!!

In dedication to Michael Jackson I posted my two Fav videos:
"BAD" & "SMOOTH CRIMINAL"

Day 12: The Day Michael Died Down the Block...

Before I left work today the news came that pop icon Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at UCLA's hospital in Westwood. When returning home I thought I would be blocked from getting anywhere close to where the crowds had gathered. I was wrong. Hundreds of people were crowded in front of the hospital just waiting in disbelief that the tragic event had occured. I decided to snap a few pics. Press from all over the world were there, kids sang, people held signs, and listened to boom boxes with old music playing.
On a lighter note, I got an invitation to go to the Comedy Store tonight to support comedian Ron Gee. The show was actually good, minus a couple people... If you all don't know about the Comedy Store it has been the birth place of comedians like Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Tucker, David Letterman and many more familiar names... (Why I threw one white guy in there... I don't know...lol)

Oh!! This is random... but I saw this youtube clip on facebook and it brightened up my day
Check it out!

LESSON of the DAY
Men who lack integrity, are not worth your thoughts or your time... TRUST

DAy 11: Alfre Woodard from a Family that PREYs?!!??

Ok. I got this awesome recommendation for a sushi spot. Yes, I eat sushi. KATSUYA in Brentwood. Not only was I suprised with the wonderful ambiance of this place, the service and sushi were great. Seems like its' good enough for veteran actress Alfre Woodard from "A Family that Prey's" and Avril Lavigne's hubby Deryck Whibley they were also there enjoyin dinner.

Got a chance to try this cookie spot everybody has been talking about... Diddy Reise... For me... the stuffs too sweet... I wasn't impressed :(

And yes... there was a line

LESSON of The Day:

I should have done my budget 10 days ago... Oh my gosh, sandwiches and soup from now on.

DAy 10: Top person I wanna see

I just went to work and church today. Aaaaaaaaand thats it. LOL. Nothing special happened. So I wanted to take the opportunity to list the top person I wanna see out here in Cali and have a convo with...

Chris Brown... I leave my apartment frequently thinking... I WILL cross his path. Although he lives in virginia... I'm thinking... maybe...somehow...

(Did I just down grade my blog for saying that?? Sorry yall just being real)
Crushin?? NAW ... just wanna understand it all...
Lesson of The Day:
I am in control...
My decisions have brought me where I am and will take me where I will go.

Day 9: Transformer 2 Premiere, Linkin Park Concert, Pinks

Today was a touristy day. Hung out with the homie Jeff and ate at PINKS then went to the Grove to get crepes at the FRENCH CREPE COMPANY. I think the hot dogs at Pinks are overated, I've been seeing specials about them for years on the food channel... But anyway... The crepes were on point I would recommend the spot. Here is their website... http://www.frenchcrepe.com/

Got back to the apartment and found out the Transformer 2 premiere was down the street ... Missed it :/ BUUT ... Not the Linkin Park Concert afterwards ... I took a bunch of side shots of the stage since we couldnt get in front. Had a groupie moment and waited for linkin park to come to their van... not shots of them... just a van...which was pretty clean... :)

Can anyone tell me who this young dude is in the white shirt??? He was signing autographs when he was leaving the red carpet...

Lesson of DAY:

There is always something good going on. But, will you take advantage of the good in your day?

DAY 8: FRESH & MEATY!!!, Crenshaw, & LA Film Festival

Okay... am I immature for finding the name of the food spot hilarious??? "Fresh and Meaty" LOLOLOLOLOL Are you serious? LOL who did this??? I passed by this place on the way to church.

I went to Crenshaw Christian Center today. The lesson was awesome, just what I needed. Stopped by IHOP for breakfast and reading. I chilled in my neighborhood the rest of the day though. Stopped by Whole Foods and this old lady jumped in front of me in line then looked back at me and stared like she wanted me to react. I was already upset cause Whole Foods didn't have Honey Bunches of Oats or Honey Nut Cheerios. LOL she should thank God I'm saved and tryna act like it.

I also came across the LA Film Festival. They are showing inde films in Westwood up until June 28th. They had a carpet with papparazzi and everything. So I stood behind the photographers and took pictures too. LOL!!! Am I lame for that??? Whatever I did it...

Lesson of the DAY:

God loves me... YES I literally felt that today.

DAY 7: IN-N-OUT... A FAKE MCDONALDS????

In -N- OUT??? Well, I thought it was Mcdonalds at first... hmmm I think they clearly jacked someone's color template. But, anyway...lol... Their food is really fresh. No frozen stuff. They fast food fresh food to you... I tried a vanilla shake too... Not a fan... Too vanillaE.

Would I recommend? Yup! For a burger, fries, and a soda. Definitely beats Mickey D's
Lesson of the DAy:
Fast Food can be Fast and healthier
(Life changing wisdom I know :))

Day 6: Foolishness

SOOO I clearly wasted 24hours of my life in the bed. Never again I have too much to look forward to, too much to give, and a set time to live... gotta keep movin.

Lesson of the Day:

What are you THINKING??!!! GEt UP!!!

DAY 5: By Any Means Necessary

Found a great dress shop called IMAGE a few miles away from me. Great prices, great customer service. I ended up being the last person to leave the store and chopped it up with the sales reps for a while about life. They were so down to earth; found out one was from Israel and had been in LA for a while.

Went out with Darnell again. Sooo we were supposedly going to a networking party...

:/ lol...ummm yea I was number 0462... that lasted for only about 20 minutes. After searching the city for places to go and hopping around, we ended up at a pizzaria. Highlight of the night. lol

Somebody noticed my freckles tonight! Love it!

Random but I saw this Transformers 2 billboard and I had to take a pic... June 24th definitely gotta see it.

Lesson of the DAY:

Your day is what you make it. If you want to be happy, have peace, enjoy life, you can't accept any other option mentally. LITERALLY. No excepetions, go for the best or expect less.

Day 4: Driving & Dinner with Darnell

Well... Thanks to Darnell I completely forgot what my day was about.

Drove around Santa Monica a bit after work, then went out for dinner.
VIP treatment in the TAVERN thanks to Darnell's connects... the chef served us directly from the kitchen.

Refreshing, real people, with relevant things to talk about.

Lesson of the DAy:

People are valuable. If someone doesn't recognize your value, TRUST me... they're stupid. (or just ignorant to reality) Hang around people who celebrate you.

DAY 3: The OFFICE

The 1st day in the office... YESSS! Contemporary yet chic decor, my own desk and my own dreams.

Anyway, I realized that this internship is gonna be what I make it, it's totally in my hands. Sooo with that in mind I look forward to being super intern for the rest of the summer. Lets Get it!

Lesson of the DAy:

Nothing is a secret. Someone is always watching. And if you want to be who you say you are, you better put in the work. HYPE is just a facade. Nothing will ever replace committment, hardwork, and integrity.

Day 2: Not Afraid of New Beginnings

Everything is coming together! I found a car dealership that is only charging me a veeery small fraction of the underage fee the rental companies have. The cable and internet guy was scheduled for next friday to install equipment and he just so happened to have an opening today. FAVOR yes love it! Found someone to do my hair so I could look right for my 1st day at work. And I look more than right, I look good. :)

WESTWOOD.

Nice neighborhood by UCLA's campus where I will be living. Went shopping today before my hair appointment.

Tommorow's the 1st day in the office!!!
EXCITED!!

LESSON of the DAY:

Today I realized I was ready for new beginnings. New relationships, new experiences, and new challenges. Although I'm not looking forward to challenges, I like the woman I am becoming after these challenges are overcome.

I'm letting go of my past, and its painful, but its because I want to be positioned to recieve the future. The future is better... I believe that.

DAY 1: I CRIED ON THE PLANE!!

Never in my life have I cried on a plane anywhere. But, today was THE exception. There was sooo much turbulance. I started praying real hard and looking back at the flight attendant. I felt sick, I started reaching for my phone to call the people I love... BUT TMOBILE DOESN'T WORK IN THE AIR!!! I realized it was just me and God against the sky so I tried to get a grip. I'm thinking... God I KNOW I haven't fulfilled my purpose. As this settled in my mind... I notice my body trembling. BADLY

I look back at the flight attendant for the 20th time and tears just fell. SOOOOO SAD. After offering me vodka, free snacks, movies, and tissues. The trembling stopped. Wow, never felt like that before, fear is so dangerous.

Enough about that... I'm safe. Praise God. And now the car rental people tell me I'm too young to rent a car. Yup... Cried again. But,I called my ma. HA.

I'm supposed to be on my grown grown out here. This is not gonna continue.

Whatever, better days to come.

Gonna visit some Fam tonight in Burbank

LESSON OF THE DAY:

Everything God has called me to do will come with resistance. So beware

I could allow my own mind to suffocate in fear before I begin my task.
